A bittersweet victory

Ok, so the Cavs beat the Bulls last night. I can attest to this -- I watched pensively from atop my Cheeseburger in Paradise stool (yes... that's right, a Jimmy Buffet-themed bar and grille. I think an angel just lost its wings) as the Wine and Gold had a solid late-season win. Now, what's my beef, you say?

Well, Cavs.com is holding a pretty sweet contest where you can win money, tickets to games, etc. Alls you have to do is predict the final score and the top rebounder in the game with the number of rebounds said player is able to accumulate.

Chicago and Cleveland are both pretty defensively minded teams, and I predicted a hard fought, 92-87 Cleveland victory. However, I thought Drew Gooden would get shut down offensively and thus, battle and grab a lot of missed Luol Deng and Ben Wallace jump shots, 14 to be precise.

Final score: 112-108, Cleveland (in OT.) Gooden had 14 boards, 1 point. So the game went to OT and was higher scoring than anticipated.

D'oh!

So I got the differential and rebounds right. Back to the drawing board... Cavs and Celts tip off at 6. I predict a 108-97 Cavs victory and that LeBron, rising to the challenge of facing off against Paul Pierce, will grab 12 rebounds.
