Bullet Jones rolls out the "jambulance"

This is the most absurd thing I have ever heard of. Well, that's not true at all, but...I can only shake my head and try to think of something funny to say. And it's not coming. Maybe this is why the Done Waiting people, usually quick with their acerbic wit, haven't really let go with the zingers yet.

I guess give Bullet Jones credit for trying...I think one of them dated the girl from my girlfriend's dorm who would always have her alarm clock go off for about three hours before somebody finally realized her door was unlocked, waded through a mountain of trash, and turned it off themselves. You know what kind of girl I'm taking about.

This just in...

Tegan &... Hunter Burgan

That's Hunter Burgan for those of you who aren't aware of any non-Davey Havoc AFI members (about 99.9% of the blog-reading population...ie: non Hot Topic employees). For everyone else, Burgan was born in Long Beach, is a vegan and loves old-school R&B, according to Wikipedia. Turns out this guy is teaming up with Tegan of ... Tegan & Sara.

What makes this collaboration interesting (other than it makes my high-school alter-ego rear its head long enough to experience slight disdain that AFI is still "punk enough" to merit being posted about on PunkNews.org) is that I saw both of their full-time projects at the Newport Music Hall, with a somewhat awkward split bills (Tegan & Sara with Communique and AFI -- waaaaaay after they played anything resembling hardcore -- with Sick of it all.)

The AFI/Sick of it all show was immortalized in a Radio Free Tobias concert review. I saw a really short fight! It was awesome! Plus, Lou Koller made a really sweet hardcore hype-man of sorts for AFI, talking with a strangely auctioneer-like cadence in between songs.

Westerville's most wanted

Normally I try to come up with a clever little title for my blog posts. You know, to enliven them with a little ironic charm. I think in this case, changing the formal title isn't really necessary.

Westerville is a suburb Columbus, home to about 30,000 as well as fair Otterbein College.

Apparently it's also home to enough hardened criminals to warrant the creation of Westerville's Most Wanted.

Who are these unsavory characters?

Now this gentleman is probably pretty legit -- I remember hearing about this when it happened -- in late February, he made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from a US Bank near where Route 3 and I-270 meet. Described as tall with a thin build. Spooky scary. I'll buy it.

This guy robbed that same bank four months ago. He cashed in for about $1,600. I guess that's not a bad take, but his picture is now plastered all over the internet. I always figured that bank robbing was one of those crimes that was such a stereotype, it just seems like a bad idea. Kind of like a diamond heist or something. At least when you rob a convenience store at night, you're probably dealing with a kid who just smoked up in the walk-in beer cooler.

I think I've reached my personal self-imposed limit for number of pictures in one post (I'm all about blogging in good taste) but sandwiched in between these two is the notorious CVS cigarette thief. As a public service, RFT will post his police blotter in full:

On 1/29/08 at approximately 3:20 PM, a black male: 5'8, 150 lbs, entered the CVS Pharmacy at 620 S. Cleveland Ave. The suspect jumped over the store counter and stole several cartons of cigarettes. He jumped back across the counter and ran out the door. The suspect vehicle was described as a gray Chevrolet van. Please call 901-6494 with any further information.

Now that's what I'm talking about. I expect to see this guy on Tru TV (World's most shocking thiefs of items valuing less than $100...)any day now.

Nazis love Obama

As many who know me can attest, I have a fascination with the radical American white-ring (and to a lesser extent, the Arab version. I wrote a paper for my Media Law class arguing for the feasibility of prosecuting Hal Turner for "incitement to violence" speech, not protected by the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. I am also a fairly regular visitor to his website. This makes for some interesting social situations when I read his site (a recent headline read "JEWISH MAGAZINE SHOWS HOW TO COOK A GENTILE") using public computers, to say the least. As I have also read a few David Irving books in libraries, I probably have a COINTEL file dedicated to me somewhere in the DHS as a result.

I also have been watching the Obama campaign with interest, although somehow I missed the Chosen One's visit to my own humble burg/home turf. I think Mr. Obama's people have run a fine and persuasive campaign. I officially predict he will be the next president of the United States.

These two competing interests of mine were fortuitously combined in a recent TNR piece written by Michael Crowley. In this article, David Duke, the former Grand Wizard of the KKK and Louisiana State Representative opines that Obama "don't see much difference in Barack Obama than Hillary Clinton--or, for that matter, John McCain".

(sidebar -- for anyone who is shocked by a KKK guy getting involved in politics, I'll attest-- this still happens. I remember during my days as an intern for the Delaware Gazette reporters talking about smattering of KKK elements that existed in the organized GOP elements in the county to the north. I also had a conversation with a friend who says the area has a rich tradition of KKK action. The KKK in central Ohio might merit a closer study on my part in the near future...I'm pretty sure the KKK around here operates out of the Aumiller Gun Shop.)

I digress. This was interesting enough, but then I stumbled across a report written by Rocky Suhayda, the chairman of the American Nazi Party.

The piece expresses discontent with the "Judeo-capitalist" American political system, and suggests that "racially-aware" whites either tacitly (by means of non-vote) or actively vote for Obama as an "affirmative-action candidate." For fear of losing his audience straight of the bat (for obvious reasons) he kind of backdoors this position, although it is clearly his thesis. Suhayda (what nationality is that anyway?) writes:

I SAY THAT THIS ELECTION, WHITE PEOPLE EITHER - SIT IT OUT, UNTIL CANDIDATES START OPENLY WORKING FOR "OUR INTERESTS", or - AFFIRMATIVE-ACTION OUT THESE PALE-FACED RACE-TRAITORS, and REPLACE THEM WITH ONE OF THOSE THEY PROFESS TO "LOVE" SO MUCH. What’s "good" for US...sure as hell, OUGHT to be just fine for THEM as well! LOL

Those white supremacists love their ALL CAPS don't they?

Suhayda also suggests that the American black population will expect to be delivered by Obama's presidency, and when things fail to improve, 60's style social-unrest could break out. This also would lead more whites to the ANP's cause, I guess.

So are the white-supremacists getting behind Obama? This is an interesting development to observe...
